EFA Event - Getting it right: enabling FinTech innovation in Europe

A number of policy initiatives in Europe are shaping the digital finance space, and regulation has an important role to play to support European innovation and facilitate seamless market access, making the EU a leader in FinTech growth.
You can now watch the replay of the evening event with policy and industry leaders in a discussion on the upcoming challenges and opportunities for digital finance rules in Europe. We delved into trends shaping the future of the European FinTech ecosystem across topics: from instant payments, retail investment and the digital euro, to crypto assets, digital identity and the revision of AML frameworks.

The policymakers that participated in the event included Lidia Pereira, Member of the European Parliament, Jan Ceyssens, Head of the Digital Finance Unit in the Directorate General for Financial Stability, Financial Services and Capital Markets Union, European Commission and Rūta Merkevičiūtė, Head Of Unit, Digital Finance, European Banking Authority. From the EFA, the participants included the Members of the Board, Martijn Vliegenthart , Head of Governmental Affairs for Klarna, Jan Boehm , Director of Public Affairs and Corporate Development at N26 and Resham Kotecha, Head of Policy & Government Affairs, EMEA for Wise.
