The European Fintech Association(EFA) announces its newly appointed Board Members who will continue raising the profile of EFA and engage proactively with European stakeholders to drive a truly digital financial services agenda.
The new Board was elected today at the Annual General Assembly.
Jan Boehm, Director of Government& Public Affairs at N26 Group, will succeed Marc Roberts, General Counsel at Raisin, as President of EFA. The handover in leadership is accompanied by a reconstitution of the overall Board. Going forward, the Board will consist of:

The Board is elected for a term of two years.

The Board
Jan Boehm is Director of Government & Public Affairs of N26 Group. Jan has a long career in FinTech, financial services, investment banking, capital markets, regulation and public policy. He worked in capital markets with Goldman Sachs and Merrill Lynch in London, and in corporate finance with Deutsche Bank’s Financial Institutions Group in Frankfurt. As Managing Director, he headed Deutsche Bank’s Government & Regulatory Affairs hubs in Berlin and Brussels. In January 2020, he joined N26, Europe’s leading Digital Bank. Jan holds a graduate degree in business administration from WHU Vallendar, Germany, and a doctorate degree from RWTH Aachen, Germany. He also studied at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh,USA, and ICADE in Madrid, Spain.
Lea Maria Siering is Chief Risk Officer at finleap connect GmbH – the leading independent European Open-Banking Platform. In her role, she is responsible for the areas of Compliance, Information Security, Legal and Public Affairs. She is also admitted to the bar as a lawyer. With more than 12 years of experience in the financial sector, she was most recently Chief of Staff and Director Regulatory Affairs at finleap GmbH, partner at Taylor Wessing in the Regulatory division and General Counsel at CrossLend GmbH – a Berlin based fintech. She is the author of numerous publications on regulatory topics, especially related to digitalisation, and co-edits the magazine “Recht Digital” published by Beck Verlag. Lea has studied law and regional science of East Asia in Cologne, Lausanne and Beijing and has a phd in law.
Martijn Vliegenthart leads the EU Public Affairs team of Klarna,the Swedish bank and leading global payments and shopping service – and one of the world’s most highly valued private fintechs. Martijn has extensive experience in EU Public Affairs & Government Affairs in Brussels, having spent 17 years in various positions at Goldman Sachs, the Dutch Banking Association, and prior to that he worked in the European Parliament. Martijn holds a master degree in Economics from Erasmus University in Rotterdam, the Netherlands.
Resham Kotecha is Head of Policy & Government Affairs, EMEA, at Wise. As a former strategy consultant Resham worked with senior leadership teams at blue chip tech companies such as Amazon,Facebook and Google. She has also been active in politics for the last decade. Resham currently serves as the Head of Engagement for Women2Win – an organisation founded by the former Prime Minister, working to get more women elected to Parliament, and the cofounder of the Conservative Friends of Tech -an organisation set up to strengthen ties between the tech sector and the British Government. Resham has written for publications and think tanks such as The Times, the Centre for Policy Studies and Huffington Post and regularly speaks at policy conferences. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Cambridge University and has been recognised as a ‘Global Shaper’ by the World Economic Forum for political work in trying to achieve a more representative Parliament.
Marc Roberts is General Counsel at Raisin, the marketplace for savings and investments. He has extensive experience in regulatory, complianceand policy matters with more than 10 years’ experience in private practice,including in international law firms Hengeler Mueller and Cravath, Swaine & Moore in Germany and the US. Marc joined Raisin in 2017 serving in legal,compliance and risk functions. He has studied law and criminology in Greifswaldand Montreal and holds a doctorate degree in law.
